Go north. Rent a cabin on a lake.

I Hubbard Lake is the best lake in all of sports. I know it's a very nice house to rent in Caledonia Road on the northeast coast. (I) have a house in the same street could be a bit too big, then maybe you can invite a few more people to get their money. IM not sure, you can rent, but. I find a site.

if too large, try this on the south coast.

Hubbard Lake is located in the north of Alcona County in the Upstate. It lies about 20 miles southwest of Alpena. In northern Alcona, picturesque Hubbard Lake is the largest inland lakes of Michigan. He was welcomed by Dr.Bela Hubbard, the first with Dr. Douglas Houghton, studied the site in 1850, appointed. After a strategic position for the Indian armed forces because of the high altitudes of the southern end of the lake quickly became a major area for logging. The source of the South Branch Thunder Bay River, a dam built here helped to regulate the flow orf wood to Lake Huron in Alpena. Soon after settlers from Austin Backus built a hotel on the south side (now Backus Beach) contributed to make this region a popular tourist destination. Since then, the lake experienced a phenomenal growth - is now the main tourist area, retreat and real estate investment. Widest part of the lake is 7 miles north of Backus Bay Beach - the territory of the three communities: Caledonia, Alcona, and Hawes covers (These waters once attracted large seaplane designer / Racer The Stoddiker here to ship design and operation research before the expiration of sustainability in the Great Salt Flats). A small town called Hubbard Lake can be found one mile north of the lake, just across the border in Alpena County Ossineke Twp. The natural beauty of the lake is by car will be found north of Mt. Mariah Backus Beach Road of North Bay - an impressive sight. Several resorts, restaurants and golf courses in the region, helping to make the visit pleasant day. Be sure to stop on their northern border, on our next trip! Mt Maria, on the south coast, is the most famous square in the town, and was ranked by National Geographic as one of the ten points of the most beautiful views of the lake country. At the top of the mountain. Mary is the website of Austin Backus Memorial. MT. Maria Lodge, at the foot of the hill is the home of Hubbard Lake broad museum, with hundreds of photos of Austin Backus and the first inhabitants of this region.

The Henry Ford Museum is great, and the coming warmer months, Greenfield Village is especially great for a family. Winter is ideal for skiing, but so far this year. Rent A journey into a state park with housing would be nice.
